A path that connects management, finance and research
Suzie Mondésir built her practice on more than 25 years of management. Starting in finance and large-scale project management, she has led multidisciplinary, multicultural teams with a participative style focused on results and on developing talent.
For 31 years she has worked within Desjardins, one of the largest financial cooperatives in Canada. That ground, lived from the inside, anchors her inclusive-leadership expertise in the concrete reality of large organizations.
Across varied mandates, she advanced women’s entrepreneurship, designed training modules and built financial and non-financial service offerings. That ground now feeds her work in equity, diversity and inclusion.
Eighteen years of volunteer service for women
Alongside her professional roles, and for 18 years, Suzie Mondésir served as a volunteer on the board of Femmes Desjardins and led its communications committee, coordinating more than 20 volunteers around the Elles Desjardins magazine. That initiative grew into Femmes en Mouvement, now available to all employees of Mouvement Desjardins.
A researcher as much as a practitioner
Today, Suzie Mondésir is a lecturer at UQAM’s School of Management and a doctoral researcher in project management. Her research examines DEI through the lens of epistemic injustice, to understand why some voices remain under-represented in strategic roles.
A reach beyond Québec
Suzie Mondésir works in French across the global Francophonie and in English for international institutions. France and French-speaking Europe, North Africa, West Africa, UN organizations: she collaborates with academic partners in France, including EM Lyon, and contributes to thinking on equity in the Maghreb.
